Truth Slash Fiction is an independent television pilot about sixteen year old Emma Jacobs, a fan of the supergroup boyband “TRUTH", whose romantic songs are her only refuge from the cruel social interactions that make up her world. After meeting a new girl at school, she joins a group of like-minded fans who channel their devotion in an unusual way: they write slash fiction (ie “gay erotic fan fiction”) inspired by the band members. The pilot won Best Comedy Pilot at SeriesFest and ITVFest (now Catalyst Content Festival) and went into development at Lionsgate. You can watch the trailer below!
